The Gospel Story

Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me..."

Matthew 19:14

At Hernando Baptist, we believe children are one of God's most precious gifts. All of our children's activities are designed to help children build healthy, Christ-centered relationships, that they may in turn show God's love to others.  We offer several activities throughout the week for children to encounter the Gospel and would love for your child to join us!

Katie McMinn

Minister to children

Hey, my name is Katie McMinn and  I'm the Minister to Preschool and Children here at Hernando Baptist Church.  My desire is to partner with parents to help their children learn and know who God is.  Our passion for children is to see them form roots and watch them grow as we focus on Bible literacy and the foundations of the faith.  One of the sweetest things in ministry is to watch children learn and grow in who God is and what He did for us.  I enjoy working with the next generation and always get excited to see God's Kingdom grow with even the smallest of believers - "but Jesus said 'Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven'".

If you have any questions about our children's ministry or how you can serve in this ministry, I would love to help you get connected.  Feel free to email me at [email protected] or call the church office at 662.429.6361.
